This course is ideal for general workers/employees as entry level training in the principles of Health and Safety in a manufacturing or service workplace.
Overview:
This course focuses on training staff in identifying and avoiding work site hazards as a vitally important way of reducing the number of incidents in manufacturing and service industries. Training should be updated regularly to ensure that all workers are fully knowledgeable on the risks posed on a daily basis.

Overview:
This qualification is intended for learners already in workplaces and those who are preparing to start or return to work. It is also very useful for young people to raise their ability to identify and understand hazards when preparing for work experience or going into employment.
Persons gaining this qualification will know that health and safety is the responsibility of everyone within a business, its contractors, visitors and suppliers. The subject areas covered within this qualification are regards by the Health and Safety executive (HSE) as being important to maintaining safe working procedures in the workplace.

Overview:
The Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is aimed at supervisors, managers, team leaders
as well as individuals wishing to advance their health and safety knowledge. The qualification is intended for
learners already working in the capacity of supervisor, manager or team leader and also those who are
preparing to start work at this level.
Persons gaining this qualification will know that supervisors, managers and team leaders have legal and
moral obligations to ensure health and safety within a business, and that this includes obligations to
employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers. Its syllabus areas are regarded by the Health and Safety
Executive as being important to developing and maintaining safe working procedures in the workplace.
Training Approach
This qualification is assessed through a 60-question multiple-choice question examination. The duration of the examination is 2 hours. Successful learners must achieve a score of at least 40 out of 60. Learners will achieve a Merit at 50/60.
Training manuals and course content are based on industry best practice, international standards, as well as legislation and regulatory requirements of the local regulatory authority.

Overview:
The Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is a qualification aimed at Supervisors and Managers with a direct responsibility for health and safety management. The qualification is for learners already working in the capacity of supervisor or manager and those who are preparing to start work at this level.
Learners gaining this qualification will know that supervisors and managers have legal and moral obligations to ensure health and safety within a business and that this includes obligations to employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers. The Health and Safety Executive regard its subject areas as being important to developing safe working procedures in the workplace.
Course Duration: 40 hours (5 days)
Validity: Lifetime Validity with a recommendation of refresher every 3 years

1.4 Explain the role of training, maintenance and workplace layout in reducing risks
2. Understand the process by which health and safety is managed in an organisation
2.1 Explain the role of health and safety polices in managing health and safety
2.2 Explain methods to ensure employers and employees communicate and co-operate on health and safety issues effectively
2.3 Explain the role of risk assessments and safe systems of work in the management of health and safety.
2.4 Describe management and audit processes and documentation used to maintain and improve health and safety standards.
2.5 Outline sources of information and instructions on health and safety and where they are found
3. Understand procedures for developing and implementing risk assessment
3.1 Outline procedure for the development, implementation and recording of risk assessments.
3.2 Construct risk assessments for a range of tasks and procedures, such as manufacturing/construction tasks,
substances hazardous to health, general hazards of the working
environment.
4. Understand procedures for developing and implementing safe systems of work
4.1 Outline procedure for the development, implementation and recording of safe systems of work. 4.2 Construct a safe system of work for a range of tasks and procedures, such as manufacturing/construction tasks, substances hazardous to health, general hazards of the working environment.
5. Know how to review health and safety across an organisation
5.1 Explain procedures for reviewing an organisation’s practices and policy concerning health and safety at work.
